MINECRAFT 1.9 PRE-RELEASE

Well that was fast. Only a few weeks ago i remember the huge talk about the 1.8 release and new only a week later there's a 1.9? How did that happen?

Markus "notch" let everyone know on twitter that the prerelease edition of Minecraft 1.9 is available for download.

And it's free to download from this link.

Later it was revealed that in the Minecraft 1.9 prerelease there were major changes. Such as Snow Golems (Throws snowballs at near by creepers and spiders) and village NPCs.

Diablo III Delayed Again?

This morning, Blizzard reported that despite aiming for a late 2011 release date for Diablo III, they are trying for a early 2012 release.

“With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible. However, we didn’t put so many years of work into Diablo III to release a game that was almost ready,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, in the press release published today. “The beta test is going very well, and we look forward to making the most of the extra time we’re taking to deliver an experience that lives up to our vision for the game and the expectations of our players.”

“Blizzard will use the additional time to extend the Diablo III closed beta test, which began September 20, potentially adding more testers than initially projected. Players who have an active Battle.net account with any Blizzard game attached to it should visit Battle.net account management to opt in for a chance to participate in the beta test. Additional testing phases, as well as further details regarding the launch plans for the game, will be announced on the company’s Diablo III community website: www.Diablo3.com.”

So basically nerds all around the world are gonna go another year until they can get their hands on Diablo III.

‘Battlefield 3′ Beta Release Date And Details

'Battlefield 3' may be two months away but gamers every where still have something to play while they wait.

'What' is that you ask? Well it's the 'Battlefield 3' Multiplayer Beta!

the "Battlefield 3" beta will include just one map, Operation Metro. The beta will launch on September 29 for PC, PS3 and 360, with access open to anyone with an Xbox Live Gold or PSN account. PC players will need to sign up for EA's digital distribution service, Origin, to experience the beta.

The Operaion Metro map was first seen and played at this year's E3. By the way, if you purchased the Limited Edition of "Medal of Honor" last year, you'll gain access to the beta a few days early. Watch for an email from EA with details.

MORE GAMESCOM ACCOLADES FOR BATTLEFIELD 3

Not content to settle for winning Gamescom’s official 2011 Best of Show award, Battlefield has continued to rack up awards and praise, and even the mainstream press is taking note. USA Today says that Battlefield “could be [a legend] of the Fall,” and MSNBC.com proclaimed that “Battlefield 3 brings the shock and awe,” going on to say that, “So much is destructible in Battlefield 3 that it makes you feel like you have a real impact on your environment. And even the lighting feels like a real character.”

If that wasn’t enough, our friends in gaming news had great things to say, too. GamePro wasn’t afraid to admit to “drooling” over our Caspian Border Trailer and Kotaku’s still looking for their socks after we blew them off. Best of all, Eurogamer.net chose Battlefield 3 as its "Game of Gamescom 2011" - it's truly an honor!
